History

In Fall 2000, Hope Presbyterian Church began as a mission work of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) with four families from the Henry County area. These families sought out the PCA because they wanted to be part of a Biblical, Reformed, and Missions-focused church. Sunday worship services were held in a storefront in Collinsville, VA. During this time, Hope was known as “Shining Light Presbyterian Church,” and Rev. Bryan Keith pastored the flock. Several churches in the Blue Ridge Presbytery supported the young congregation…

Leadership

Staff Rev. Matthew Pinckard Matthew Pinckard began serving as the pastor of Hope Presbyterian Church in June 2022. He was born and raised in the Chicago area and did his undergraduate studies at Cedarville University in southern Ohio.  He came to us from Jackson, MS, where he attended Reformed Theological Seminary. Ministries

There are many ways to get involved in the life and fellowship of Hope Presbyterian Church. We invite you to join in! learn Every Sunday at the church building, there are Sunday School classes for all ages. Every Wednesday evening at the church building, there are Bible Studies for all ages. The youth meet every Wednesday evening for Bible Study and prayer. Fellowship Small groups meet monthly to grow in Christ and fellowship together: Martinsville (first Sunday of the month)…

From the beginning, Hope Presbyterian Church has been passionate about the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. We support the ministry of the gospel on a local, regional, national, and international level.
